Pregnancy places unique demands on the spine, pelvis, and nervous system, while babies and children experience rapid neurological and physical development as they grow.
Families often seek care for support with things like sleep challenges, tension or discomfort, digestion, developmental changes, or simply to help the body adapt more easily to daily stress.

Care at Threshold Chiropractic is always tailored to the individual, with a focus on gentle, nervous system–centered chiropractic.
Dr. Marissa is trained in several techniques that allow care to be adapted to each person’s needs with low-force or instrument delivered adjustments including Webster Technique (Pregnancy Specific), Torque Release Technique (TRT), NetworkSpinal, and Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). These approaches help reduce stress within the nervous system and restore healthy communication between the brain and body.
For pregnant mothers, babies, and children, adjustments are always extremely gentle and appropriate for the stage of development. The goal of care is not force, but helping the nervous system regulate and adapt more efficiently.
Each visit is personalized based on what your body - or your child’s body - needs that day

Yes. Chiropractic care is gentle and adapted specifically for each stage of life.
During pregnancy, adjustments are tailored to support the spine and pelvis as the body changes and prepares for birth. Many mothers find care helpful for relieving tension, improving comfort, and supporting pelvic balance. Dr. Marissa is Webster Certified and continues to do ongoing prenatal training.
For babies and children, adjustments are extremely gentle and use light pressure designed specifically for developing bodies. Pediatric chiropractic focuses on supporting healthy nervous system development as children grow and adapt. Dr. Marissa has experience with advanced pediatric adjusting from programs like the ICPA and Pediatric Experience.

The recommended frequency of care depends on your goals, lifestyle, and how your nervous system is adapting to stress.
During times of greater change and stress—such as pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or early childhood development, and sickness—more frequent visits may be recommended to help the body adapt and regulate. Many families begin with weekly or biweekly visits and transition to less frequent care as their nervous system becomes more balanced.Other families prefer occasional visits to support their overall wellness.
There are no "care plans" here, but there are recommendations. During your initial visit, we will discuss your goals and create a care recommendation that works best for you and your family. Most new patients are often seen more frequently in the beginning as consistent visits to help the body break old stress patterns and build a stronger foundation for health. Memberships are offered to provide consistent, ongoing support that can be utilized across all active family members.
